Obituary

Adam Gulley was born on December 12, 1938 to Mattie and Henry Gulley in Selma, Alabama. He was the oldest of eight kids.

He was married to the love of his life, Mary Helen Gulley for sixty one years. He worked faithfully for thirty years for Carraway Hospital and the Board of Education for twenty five years. He dedicated his life to Christ under the leadership of Bishop Alfred Youngblood, Sr. He also served as a deacon at Overcometh Holiness Church, until his death.

He was preceded  in death by his parents, Henry  and Mattie Gulley; brother, Fred Gulley; son Adam Gulley, Jr, and daughter-in-law Williette (Woo) Dejournette.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Mary H Gulley; seven children, Rena (Daniel ) Mitchell, Anthony (Kristie) Gulley, Cynthia (Danny) Wade, Jerrell Gulley, Juran Gulley, Latosha Gulley and Cortez (Williette) Gulley. 22 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, four sister,  Eva Jackson, Shirley Stockdale, Barbara Loftin and Ella Mae Davis; two brothers, John Henry Gulley and James Gulley; many  nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives  and friends.
