Albert Holmes, Jr. was born May 18, 1946  to the late Albert and Guernice Holmes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sr. and Guernice and one sister, Claudette Holmes Ollie. Albert was a 1964 graduate of Rosedale High School and attended Miles College. He was employed by the Birmingham Water Works  for over 30 years until he retired.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Natalie Henderson; one brother, Travis W. Holmes Sr., both of Birmingham, AL; one aunt, Sylverta Croom (Napoleon), Tuscambia, AL; three nephews, Jon C. Ollie (Myesha) of Cleveland, OH, Damion N. Holmes and Jonathan N. Henderson (Raven) both of Birmingham, AL; one niece, Nakendria V. Henderson of Birmingham, AL; two great nephews, Travis W. Holmes, III and Davion J. Hudgins, both of Birmingham, AL;  four great nieces, Jocelyn and Jessica Ollie, Cleveland, OH, Kymora S. Lewis and Kymiah D. Henderson both of Birmingham, AL; Special friend, Janie Mabry of Birmingham, AL and a host of many cousins and extended family members.
