Cook, Alice H. Adams , age 91, of Hoover, AL, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009. She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at Plantation Manor Nursing Home for 38 years where she was affectionately known as "The Accordion Lady". She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years Roy E. Cook. She is survived by her daughter, Dessie Cook Brown of Woodstock, AL; her sons, Joel Seldon Cook of Yelm, WA and Michael Roy (Lynne) Cook of Woodstock, AL; her grandchildren, Joley (Phillip) Leach, Katie Barnes and Brett Barnes; her brother, Nason Adams of Stowe, VT and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Southcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 28, 2009 from Noon until 2:00 p.m.
