Gafford, Allen B. , age 82, of Birmingham, AL, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010. He was a member of Sandusky First Baptist Church. Mr. Gafford was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, a Boy Scout Leader of Troop #117 and retired from U.S. Steel. Funeral Services will be held at Sandusky First Baptist Church on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Herman Pair and Rev. Rick Thacker officiating. Visitation will be held at the church, February 26, 2010 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen F. and Rubye J. Gafford; his brother, Frank Gafford and his sister, Frances Clark. He is survived by his loving wife, Edna Kennedy Gafford; his son, Dr. Kenneth Allen (Laura) Gafford; his daughters, Angelon Creel and Dianne (Wayne M.) Owens; his grandchildren, Kristin Schlenker, Keri Banker, Rebecca McGuire, Kevin Owens, Greg Creel and Kene' Manning; his eight great-grandchildren; his brother, Bill (Marion) Gafford and his sisters, Juanita (Leelon) Scott and Martha (Jack) Gross. Valhalla Funeral Home is directing.
