November 7, 1972 – March 9, 2018
Amy Leigh Baggett, age 45, went home to be with her Lord on March 9, 2018 at her home in Portland, Oregon. Amy was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was beautiful, kind and generous and had an unshakable passion for helping others. Amy graduated from the University of Alabama. She received her Master's degree in counseling from Portland State University and worked as a licensed mental health therapist at Kaiser Permanente in Portland, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Burbur and Louise Kinman, Homer and Myrtle Baggett and a brother-in-law, Dan Osborn.
She is survived by her parents, Steve and Kay Baggett; sisters; Lori Marler McDonough (Dan), Patti Baggett Osborn; a brother, Scott Baggett (Tonya); nieces, Allyson McDonough, Rachel McDonough, Ella Baggett, Annalee Osborn; nephews, Noah Baggett, Joseph Osborn and a loving partner, Chris Teig.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, 5317 Bessemer Super Highway, Midfield, AL 35228 with the Reverend Morgan Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 12 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to Canaan Baptist Church Building Fund, 2543 Morgan Road, Bessemer, Alabama 35022 or to the American Cancer Society.
