Anita Faye Henderson McReath, age 66, died peacefully on April 26, 2016 at her residence in Calera. Ms. McReath was born to Nell and Cyrus Henderson on June 6, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nell and Cyrus Henderson and a sister, Norma Rosebrough.

Ms. McReath joined Hunter Street Baptist Church in 1998 where she worked in the church bookstore. She was active in foreign missions from 2004-2011 to Montana, Brazil, Bulgaria, and Canada.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Jill; two great nephews Andrew and Trevor; nieces, Susan, Jenny, and Beth; her nephew, Dennis; cousins, John and Marilyn Wilson and Ronnie and Harriette Honeycutt; a good friend, Patryce Harper; her close friends at work; and her beloved pet, Saban. Anita was loved by so many people, that it''s impossible to list all the names of the people she called "friends."

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 12 noon at Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hunter Street Baptist Church for a fellowship from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. A Memorial Service will follow at the church at 2:00 P.M.
