Annie (Teeny) Abercrombie Cargile, 97, passed away peacefully at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Birmingham, AL on November 8 , 2020. She was born July 5, 1923 , to John Wesley and Annie Adilee Abercrombie . She grew up in West End , AL with siblings Andr ew, Mildred, Louis, Hazel , Virgil, and Billy .

In 19 48 she married Coston Clarence Cargile and raised three sons -- John , Jerry, and Jimmy, in Midfield, AL. As a member of Midfield Baptist Church , and later First Baptist Church of Leeds, she sang in the church choir , and blessed so many with her beautiful voice late into her 80s.

Her passion was growing beautiful flowers and gardening, but her heart was her family. She was a beloved Grandmama to Jason, Jonathan, Maci and Will Cargile , Great-Grandmother to Marleigh Ana Cargile , and a wonderful mother-in-law to Paula, Nancy, and Vicki Cargile.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 11, 2020, 2:00 PM in the chapel of Valhalla Funeral Home. Bro. Rick Cato will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
