Houts, Annie Laurie (Laura) Goggins , age 87, of Birmingham, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior June 4, 2009. Known as "Big" by many, she worshipped her Savior and adored her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James E. Houts, son James F. Houts and grandson Keith E. Houts. She is survived by her children Joy Houts, Pat Summers, Eddie (Barbara) Houts, Sammy (Gail) Houts, Gage (David) McDaniel; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother Bud (Lois) Goggins; and caregiver Annette Shields. Visitation will be Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Valhalla Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be Monday, June 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. James A. Connell will be officiating.
