Audrey Gail Jernigan Matney, Hueytown, Alabama was born on August 2, 1951 in Bessemer, Alabama and died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday March 8, 2020.

She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed country music and karaoke.

Audrey worked for three local CPA firms during her long work career.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents Allen Alva Jernigan and Allie Opal Jernigan Antinoro as well as her brothers Dennis Leon Jernigan, Alva A Jernigan, and her sister Florene Dale Hoops, niece Jennifer Lynn Graham and her grandparents.

She is survived by her sister Alice Jernigan Graham (Robert), and her brother David W. Jernigan , all of Hueytown, Alabama.  She is also survived by nieces Tiffany Hosmer (Chris) and Delinda Tucker and two nephews Jeffrey L. Graham (Amy) and Allen Earley, She is also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews.

The funeral service will be Thursday, March 12, 2020, 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Valhalla Cemetery. The will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
