Ausbon W. Jinright, age 90, of Tuscaloosa, passed away January 27, 2014 at Plantation Manor. Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 12 Noon until service time at 2 P.M. Saturday at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randolph Kesler officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Lou Jinright; his first wife of 42 years, Pauline Moore Jinright; brothers, Olen and Bill Jinright; daughter, Pat Jinright Nichols; granddaughter (adopted daughter), Tammy Nichols Jinright; his second wife of 25 years, Ruby Worthington Jinright.

Survivors include his wife, Claudia Hill Jinright of Hueytown, AL; sons, Bobby Jinright (Carol) of McCalla, AL and Ronnie Jinright (Jane) of Decatur, GA; grandson (adopted son) Keith Jinright (Becky) of McCalla, AL; grandchildren, Janeese Howton (Brady) of Hueytown, AL, Lari Valtierra (Salvador) of Bessemer, AL, Holly Miller of Nashville, TN, Heidi Simpson (Joe) of Clearwater, FL, Ronnie Jinright, Jr. (Lloyd) of Nashville, TN; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna Jinright; several nieces and nephews; three step-sons and three step-daughters.

Mr. Jinright was born in Cordova, AL and attended Cordova High School. He was a member of Troop C of the 36th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron and a veteran of WWII. He retired from L&N Railroad, went into the real estate business, and later had his own company, VIP Realty. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and a life member of the American Legion. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, AL. He enjoyed his family and friends, gardening, and traveling, and he lived life to its fullest. More importantly, he was a Christian, loved his God, and was at peace. While his family and friends will miss him greatly, know that he is now with his Lord and Savior in the room He prepared just for him.

Pallbearers will be Brady Howton, Luke Howton, Jim Jinright, Joe Jinright, Kenny Lauderdale, Burt Mangham, Salvador Valtierra, and Dan Vogt.

Honorary pallbearers are the members of American Legion Post 123, friends and neighbors at Plantation Manor, and the staffs at UAB West Medical Center and Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center.
