Barbara Joyce Bryant Helms, 73, passed peacefully from this world on April 12, 2010. Mrs. Helms was born June 22, 1936, in Gadsden, Alabama, to James Archie and Rebecca Pendley Bryant. She graduated from Gaston High School and lived in Gadsden until 1969, when she relocated to Pell City, where her husband was transferred with Goodyear Tire & Rubber. She was a long time member of Logan Martin Church of Christ and enjoyed painting and reading. Mrs. Helms was recently preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Roy Joe Helms. She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Helms Zimmerman and Leisa Helms Williams; sons-in-law Daniel Zimmerman and Jay Williams; and grandchildren, Anthoney "Ande" Brian Zimmerman, Daniel Joseph Zimmerman, Callie Elizabeth Zimmerman, Savannah Davis Williams, Joshua Bryant Williams, Jordan Bradley Williams. Mrs. Helms is survived by one brother, James R. Bryant and sister-in-law, Bebe Bryant and their children, Dyanne Higgins, Michael Bryant, Stephen Bryant and Javan Bryant. She is also preceded in death by nephew, Phillip Bryant and granddaughter, Rachel Williams. A service will be held on Friday, April 16, at 11 a.m., at Logan Martin Church of Christ in Pell City, with interment to follow at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden
