Obituary
Betty Sue Avery Ellard, age 71, of Bessemer passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at UAB Hospital in Bessemer.
She was a native and life long resident of Bessemer where she retired from the City of Bessemer. She was member of the Women''s Auxiliary of the VFW and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bessemer. She was preceded in death by her parents, T. P. and Gladys Avery; Brothers, Herbert Avery and Bill Avery; and a daughter, Cynthia Leigh Ellard Hipwell.
She is survived by her husband, Willis A. Ellard; Grandchildren, Lauren Waters, Erica Hipwell, Heather Hipwell, Melissa Hipwell, and Christopher Hipwell; Great Grandchildren, Tyler Hipwell, Haley Hipwell and Mykala Thomas; a brother, Ed Avery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Valhalla Cemetery with Father John McDonald officiating.
