Betty Joyce Carter Davis, of Maylene, passed away on April 24, 2019 at her home in Maylene, Ala. surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Birmingham, Ala. to Clayton and Delma Carter on December 23, 1931. She graduated from Hueytown High School in 1950 and married Jack L. Davis on July 8, 1950. She worked faithfully at Southern Construction, retiring at 68. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joann Jackson, and her son Carey Clay Davis. Betty is survived by her husband Jack L. Davis, daughter Dale Moman (Rick), grandchildren Shawn Moman, Ashley Moman, and Clayton Davis. She was faithfully cared for by dear family friend Rachel Ngaé for the last year of her life.

Pallbearers will be Rick Moman, Shawn Moman, Winfred Freeman, Bob Fitzgerald, Rachel Ngaé, and Marcie Gaylor.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26 at Valhalla Cemetery with Pastor Bob Fitzgerald officiating. Arrangements are by Valhalla Funeral Home.
