Betty Wallace Earley

Betty Wallace Earley, age 81 of Bessemer passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Plantation Manor Nursing home in McCalla after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morgan and Bessie Wallace; two grandchildren, Faith and Tara Earley; and four brothers, M. D., Wilburn, Don and Bill Wallace.

Mrs. Earley is survived by her husband of sixty-three 63 years, Don Earley; two sons, Jody Earley and Morgan Earley (Debbie); daughter-in-law, Vicki Earley; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Kevin, Noah, and Aiden Earley, Lacey and Aaron Powell; four great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Eric McGehee, Haley and Jack Powell; one brother, Larry Wallace (Barbara); a sister, Jane Tracy (Sonny); numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Earley was a native of Bibb County and lived in Jefferson County most all of her life. She was a 1950 graduate of Hueytown High School and served as secretary for Lloyd Noland Hospital for over thirty years. Mrs. Earley was a long time member of Garywood Baptist Church.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Chapel with the Rev. Charles Sunday officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
