Hamilton, Betty R. , of Hueytown, AL, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009. She was retired from the Midfield Board of Education and Rutledge Middle School after 22 years of service. Memorial Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Kevin Vanderlaan of Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church will be officiating. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joey Handley; brothers, James and Lawrence Rowe. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Henry Hamilton of Hueytown; her son, Henry "Hank" (Betty) Hamilton, Jr. of Hoover; her daughter, Brenda (Mark) Handley of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Kendra Handley and Hollye Hamilton; her sister-in-law, Bonnie Rowe of Chattanooga and her nephews, Lawrence, Alan and Daniel.
