Betty Joyce Johnson, age 86 of Hueytown died Friday, February 13, 2015 at Self Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Johnson was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County. She was born and raised in Brighton and Wilkes and was a former member of the Brighton Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Union Baptist Church of Lipscomb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Johnson; two daughters, Betty Sue Farr and Margaret Ruth Farr.

She is survived by a son, Wayne Farr (Debbie); a step son, Bobby Johnson; five grandchildren, Suzanne Matney, John Michael Walker, Jennifer Ransum, Angela Cochran, and Ashley McLeroy; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Oliver and Nancy Singleton.

Services will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 2 P.M. at Valhalla Chapel. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home.
