Betty Brown Maxwell age 88 of Center Point, Alabama passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020. She was born in Shelby County, Alabama to Buster and Stella Brown on December 15, 1931. She was a graduate of Ramsey High School in Birmingham and  worked as a Flight Dispatcher for Hayes Aircraft in 1950/1960's before beginning a career as an Administrative Assistant for Meadow Craft that spanned 19 years.

Betty was a faithful Christian woman who loved the Lord and serving others when she could. She enjoyed spending time with her family including her husband of 48 years, James E. Maxwell, three children, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Buster and Stella Brown and one sister Joan Dye.

Betty is survived by her husband, James Maxwell; three children, Steven (Joy) Barber, Sr., Georgia (Lloyd) Hubert and Cathy (Jimmy) Summerall; five grandchildren, Brian (Briana) Summerall, Kelli Baker, Steven (Renee) Barber, Jr., Jessica Barber and Lauren Barber; six great grandchildren and one sister, Jean (Kirk) Turner.

She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
