McConkey, Betty Morris May 27, 1922 - January 7, 2017

Mrs. McConkey retired as a Medical Assistant. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, until it closed, where she was a faithful choir member and active in the Ladies Organization. She was a past member of the Alabama Poetry Society and several Dance Groups.

She is survived by her daughter Wynne Nell Brittain and Sherry Hyche (Gary), her grandchildren Beth Self (Steve), Sherry Johnson, Deborah Maun (Mark), Morris Hyche (Terri), several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1:00 P.M. prior to the graveside service at Valhalla Funeral Home.
