Bobbie Joan Dorough age 86 of Helena, Alabama passed away peacefully on May 16, 2022.  Joan as she was affectionately known was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She was strong and loving woman with a stronger sense of faith in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; she enjoyed serving families in her local church. Joan as she was affectionately known was a hard worker who enjoyed the daily task of running her dry cleaners with her family. Family being her most prized treasure, when she was not working at the cleaners she could be found cooking delicious meals during the holidays, spending time with her grandchildren and making memories to last a lifetime. Visiting the beach and Disney World were two of her favorite pastimes.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Olious and Addie Hays; one brother, Howard "Douglas" Hays and one sister in law, Brenda Hays.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two children, Jeff (Beth) Dorough and Cindy (Butch) Glass; six grandchildren, Luke Dorough, Ethan Dorough, Cole Dorough, Andrew (Holly) Burrow, Christine (Jake) Ellis and Jesse Michael Glass; two great grandchildren, Ivy Burrow and Addie Ellis; two siblings, Mitzi (David) Parker and Mike Hays; and many other relatives and friends.

Joan will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
