Brenda Joyce Everitt-Gilliland, 78, fell asleep in the Lord on February 13, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Walter Jethro and Alta Lee Everitt. She is survived by her daughter: Dana Lee Gilliland Pharo (Charles); and son Malcolm Jethro Gilliland (Joella). She had three granddaughters: Brittany Dunlap, Jasmine Dunlap, and Rhiannon Dunlap.

The late James Delbert Hand was her special friend of more than 25 years. She was previously married to David Samuel Gilliland.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, 5317 Bessemer Super Hwy, Midfield, AL 35228, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens.
