US Army SFC Burley Dean Pierce Sr., 71, of Midfield went to be with our Lord on Monday, 05/24/2010.
He was preceeded in death by his son, Barry Wade Pierce (08/2003), and wife of 47 years, Violet Malinda Barnes Pierce (07/2007).
He is survived by his children, Burley Dean Pierce, Jr. and Susan Machelle Pierce-Dollar.

He retired from the US Army with Honors having served in Vietnam, Saudia Arabia, and Korea.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 1, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at
Valhalla Funeral Home (5317 Bessemer Super Hwy, Midfield, AL). Service will be held following visitation.
Military burial will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL).
