Calvin R. "Randy" Smith, 60, of Bessemer passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016.

He retired from Piggly Wiggly after 23 years of service. He enjoyed those years driving through the Southeast and talking with his fellow drivers which became life long friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Homer Smith.

Service will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home in Midfield on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Valhalla Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home.

Randy is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Mrs. Sherri and their daughter Mrs. Sasha Anderson (Phillip). His mother Ms. Betty Legrone Smith of Midfield and his sister, Mrs. Lynn Lanzi (Chuck) of Alabaster and numerous nieces and nephews.
