Carolyn Murphree Thomas passed on peacefully Wednesday night, December 28, 2016 with her son at her bedside.

Carolyn was born on Flag Day, June 14, 1924 in Decatur, Alabama. She completed high school at Decatur High School, second in her class. She went on to study at the Women''s College of Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. She moved with her husband, William V. Thomas, and her son Lanier Thomas, to Southern California in 1955. They later relocated to Camarillo California where she was a devoted member and Treasurer of the First Baptist Church for many years. Carolyn and William retired to Coarsegold, California in 1985.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband William V. Thomas. She is survived by her son, Wm. Lanier Thomas and wife Peggy Donabed Thomas of Fresno, California and granddaughters, Ashley Collier and Sophia Thomas.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Valhalla Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Cruce officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the Graveside Service.
