Obituary

age 85, of Hueytown, passed away Jan. 12, 2007. He was an Army Veteran of World War II in Patton''s Third Army. He was a Deacon at Brooklane Baptist Church. He retired from Woodward Iron Co. His hobbies included woodworking, singing, playing guitar, story telling and gardening. Alvin was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Anderson. Mr. Anderson was devoted to his family and church throughout his life. He is survived by: sons, Joe (Myra) Anderson and Tim (Lenna) Anderson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, June McCullough and Doris Ledbetter. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007 from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. A Chapel service will be held Monday, Jan. 15, 2007 at 10:00 am with burial at Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Fritz Harter officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Brooklane Baptist Church.
