Charles (Chuck) Baxter Myers, 83, of Pleasant Grove passed away at home Saturday, June 13, 2020 with his sons by his side. Chuck was born in Birmingham and graduated from Ramsey High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Following his retirement from Stockham Valves and Fittings he worked at Compass Bank. He was a member of First Baptist Church Pleasant Grove. Chuck will forever be remembered as a loving father and pawpaw that enjoyed life and made every one smile with his wonderful sense of humor and giving spirit.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Betty Myers; father, Howard Baxter Myers and his wife Kathleen; brother, Don Myers; sister, Jo Ann Chambers; and brother-laws, Edwin Stipes, J.G. Chambers and Bill Jordan.

He is survived by his sons; Howard Myers (Louise) and Scott Myers; grandchildren; Blake Myers (Sara), Brittany Thrasher (Ben) and Christian Sanborn; sister, Gail Jordan; brother, Lamar Myers (Wanda); sister-in-law, Joan Myers and many special cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2020, from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM at Valhalla Funeral Home with a service to follow at 11:00 AM with Dr. Les Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Valhalla Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove.
