Charles Guy Martin, 91, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025. Born on December 6, 1933, Charles lived a long and full life marked by service, hard work, and deep love for his family.

A proud graduate of Jones Valley High School, Charles went on to serve his country as a member of the United States Navy and later in the Marine Reserves. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful and decades-long career as a salesman, where he was known for his charm, wit, and dedication.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Martin, and his parents, Guy and Katie Martin, sister Faye Beard.

He is survived by his two loving daughters, Cindy Rickett and Pam Renaud; his cherished grandchildren, Carrie (Nathan) Hall, Cassie Drake, and Carley (Marcus) Mackeraghan, Ben Higgins; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, with another on the way; and his dear sister, Judy Allen.

Charles had a zest for life, with a special passion for dancing. Whether on the dance floor or around the dinner table with family, he brought joy and energy wherever he went.

A visitation will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a chapel funeral service at 12pm, internment will be at Valhalla Cemetery.

Charles leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well lived. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
