age 97, of Fairfield, passed away on February 22, 2007. He retired from US Steel in 1966 after 40 years of service. He was a charter member of Forest Hills Methodist Church until it closed. He was a recent member of Fairfield Highlands United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Fairfield Highlands Masonic Lodge # 876 for over 50 years. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Harmonica Group and entertained at nursing homes until his health failed. He was a member of the Fairfield HIghlands and Midfield Senior citizens club. He had many loving friends. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla funeral home on Saturdy, February 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Valhalla cemetery. Rev. Max Blalock officiating. Visitation will be held on Sat. February 24, 2007 from 10 until 11 a.m. He was preceded in death by his wife; Alma Harris, four brothers; James P. Harris, Charles O.Harris, Carlile Harris and Carl Harris; sister, Gertrude Harris Hodges. He is survived by his sister; Lorraine Reed of Hueytown, Many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
