Clestra Jones Muir, age 93, of Birmingham passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Hoover.

Ms. Muir was a life long resident of Jefferson County where she retired from U. S. Steel with over forty years of service. She was a member of Union Baptist in Lipscomb and formerly attended Fairfield Highlands Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Findlay Muir and a sister Thelma Horton.

She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Patterson (Robert); three sisters, Fay Bradley, Leona Maxwell, and Bit Nelson (Bobby).

Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Valhalla Cemetery with Sarah Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until funeral time at Valhalla Cemetery.
