Ivey, Cora I., age 89, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away March 11, 2009. Born Cora I. Barnett in Cullman, Alabama, Ms. Ivey lived much of her life in Birmingham. Her parents were John J. Barnett and Annie C. Thompson. Graveside Services will be held at Valhalla Cemetery Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Harlan Turman officiating. She is survived by her sons, Phillip Candler of Los Angeles, CA and Jimmy McPherson of Muscle Shoals, AL: her sister, Lucille Claborn of Birmingham and her nephew, Douglas Edge of Hoover, AL.
