It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Cristal Ambrosia Carbajal Gomez, who left this world far too soon on October 1, 2024, at the tender age of 7. Cristal was born on August 27, 2017, in Bessemer, Alabama, to her devoted parents, Gerardo Carbajal Hernandez and Justas Gomez Hernandez.

Cristal was a radiant light in the lives of everyone who knew her. A second grader at Empower Community School, she was known for her bubbly personality and ability to make friends wherever she went. Cristal's enthusiasm for life was infectious; she loved crafts, unicorns, and spending time outdoors. Riding her bike and scooter brought her joy, and she adored swimming and being active. Family vacations were special adventures for Cristal, who embraced every moment with a spirit of independence and excitement. Her love for her cats was a testament to her kind and nurturing heart.

Cristal is survived by her loving parents and her three siblings: Dulce Bernice Carbajal-Gomez, Yessenia Anahy Carbajal-Gomez, and Gerardo Felipe Carbajal-Gomez. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Felipe Gomez Torres and Ascencion Hernandez Marquez, and her paternal grandparents, Ambrosia Galiondo and Ireneo Carbajal Martinez.

A service to celebrate Cristal's beautiful life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at Valhalla Cemetery in Midfield, Alabama. Valhalla Funeral Home is in charge

Though Cristal's time with us was brief, her vibrant spirit and joyful essence will forever remain in our hearts. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her memory and celebrating the joy she brought into our lives.
