David Nolan Stephenson age 79 of Talladega, AL passed away on February 20, 2022. Nolan as he was affectionately known had a heart of gold; he never met a stranger and loved meeting new people.

Nolan owned his own tire store, Eastern Tire, Inc.  and although he retired 10 years ago he never stopped working; even in "semi" retirement he would stop by the tire store and "run and get some tires".  Nolan was a family man who loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed street rodding, racing and running his tire store for over 50 years. He won many championships at the Birmingham International Raceway and loved traveling all over the United States in the 34' Ford Street.

Nolan will always be remembered by his friends and customers as being a loving and giving person.

Nolan was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Richard Chad Stephenson and Brooks Nolan Bowen.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dianne Stephenson; two children, Kimberly Bowen and Scott Stephenson (Beth);  three grandchildren, Chance Bowen (Courtney), Kristen Garner (Robby) and Codie Stephenson; five grandchildren, Bailey Bowen, Brooke Stephenson, Alissa Stephenson, Casyn Garner and Dylann Bowen; sister, Sandy Johnson; special friends, Ken Patterson, Pete Edwards and Ren Heartsill and many other relatives and friends.
