age 77, of Birmingham, AL, died Friday, January 12, 2007. A member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Brownsville for 30 years. Loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Mary Ella Miles and daughter, Joyce Miles. He is survived by his son, Deforrest "DJ" Webster Miles, Jr. of Birmingham, AL; daughter, Dot, 30 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Brownsville with burial in Valhalla Cemetery, Midfield, AL. Pastor Michael Mays, Sr. officiating. Body will lie in state on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Visitation will be monday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
