Diana Harris Franklin, age 60, of Birmingham died Friday, May 15, 2015 at UAB Hospital.

Ms. Franklin was a member of McDonald Chapel United Methodist Church where she was the pianist, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Post 137. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershell Franklin; her parents, Olan and Wanda Harris; and a brother, Kenneth Harris.

She is survived by two sisters, Cathy McCain (Steve) and Carolyn Lucas; two brothers, Clayton Harris, Jr. (Rebecca) and William Harris (Veronica); a special aunt, Patricia Harris Kidney; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews; and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Chapel with the Rev. Sam Frazier officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Valhalla Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to McDonald Chapel United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
