age 95, of Johnson City, Tn, died Sat., January 20, 2007, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law. Mr. Crowe was born in Jefferson County, Alabama, and was the son of the late James W. and Emma Pearson Crowe. He had lived for most of his life in Birmingham, Al, before moving to Johnson City in 2002. From about 1940 until his retirement in 1976, Mr. Crowe worked as a locomotive engineer at Republic Steel Corporation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Maddox Crowe; and by four brothers, Percy, Felix, Levi, and William Crowe. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and James Odom; 2 grandsons and their wives, Kevin and Rochelle Odom of Johnson City and Blair and Libby Odom of Melbourne, Australia; and two great granddaughters, Nicole and Gabrielle Odom, of Johnson City. Also surviving are a sister, Edith Hetland, of Byron, Wy; a sister-in-law, Laura Albright of Birmingham; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. The funeral for Dolly Crowe will be held Sat., Jan. 27 in Birmingham. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:00 PM on Jan. 27 at Valhalla Funeral Home, with a graveside service at Valhalla Cemetery immediately afterward. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Jimmy G. Short. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to a Hospice Services program.
