Hicks, Don E. , age 66, of McCalla, AL, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Masonic Lodge #909. He was a member of Bellview Bapist Church in McCalla. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1959, attended Jacksonville State University and served in the US Marine Corp. Don was in the car business throughout the southeast for over 45 years. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Darrell Pace officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008, from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Patty Hicks; his sons, Eddie (Gay) Hicks and Frank (Bridget) Thomas; his daughters, Kim (Scott Brown) Thomas, Nikki Hicks, Crystal Hicks, Tami, Macon and Trish Lazotte; twelve grandchildren; his brother, Wallace (Brenda) Crutchfield.
