Donald Wayne Dawson, 82, a resident of Hueytown, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his parents, James R. and Jessie Mae Dawson and a brother, Morris Dawson.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Barbara Dawson; three children, Donna (Tommy) Ames, Debra (Bill) Frederick and Gary (Peggy) Dawson; five grandchildren, Matt (Sara), Lindsey (Ryan) Stubblefield, Hailey (Reid) McElroy, Chase (Alli) Frederick and Joy Dawson; eight great grandchildren and numerous extended family members and many friends.

In 1994, he retired from Alabama Power Company after 36 years of loyal service. He was an active member of Hueytown Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Terry Hagood, Matt Ames, Eddie Bratton, Ryan Stubblefield, Chase Frederick and Reid McElroy.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hueytown Baptist Church Youth Ministry in Donald's honor.
