Doris Ann Troha Grammer, 91, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 surrounded by her family that she had spent a lifetime pouring into.  Born in Tuscaloosa, Doris graduated from Phillips High School in 1952, and shortly after married Frank "Skip" Grammer.  Together Doris and Skip, aka Mamaw and Papaw, built a life around their family. They put countless miles on the car to cheer on three generations of Grammers in athletic and other recreation pursuits. Their shared life was the meaning of devoted family.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents: Iva and John Troha; her sister, Shirley Troha Phillips; her brother, John Milton Troha; and the love of her life for 62 years, Frank "Skip" Grammer.

She is survived by her sons: Terry Grammer (Lori), Rick Grammer (Janice), and her daughter, Rae Ann Aderholt (Gary).  Also, her brother Phillip Troha (Cheryl), and her two sisters, Sandra Troha Duke and Ruby Troha Romano.  Doris leaves behind 8 beloved grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, along with a number of nieces and nephews, who will miss her hugs and humor.

Visitation with the family will be Friday at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Alabaster.  Funeral following at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens after the funeral service.
