Doris Jane Davis, age 89 of Hueytown, AL went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Brookwood Medical Center in Homewood. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ellis Davis; a son, Jeffery Earl Davis; her parents, James Flemon Jackson and Hazel Lee Jackson and a sister, Dorothy Freeman.

She is survived by a son, Jerry E. Davis (Judy) and a daughter, Laurie H. Paul (Reuben); three grandchildren; Mary Grace Davis, Heidi Tortorici and John Michael Tortorici.

Mrs. Davis was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County. She was a member of the Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church where she was active in church missions and the children's ministry. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker, "the best mother in the world."

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Cemetery with Brother Rick Yancey officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A. M. until 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
