Doris Marie Palmer

Doris Palmer, age 82, of Bessemer, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 8, 2019 in Alabaster, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Faustina Palmer; her sister, Marylyn Palmer and her sister in law, Jeanelle Palmer.

Ms. Palmer was a life long resident of Bessemer, Alabama and a member of First Baptist Church Bessemer but was not able to attend in her later years due to health reasons. She was a 1955 graduate of Bessemer High School and attended Massey Business College for Clerical Instruction. Her handicrafts included embroidery, crewel work and cross stitch. She and her sister Marylyn were persistent and faithful in praying for others involved in Christian Ministry.

She is survived by one brother, Donald Palmer; one niece, Melonie Palmers; two nephews, Chris and Robbie Palmer (Lewanne); a great niece, Rachel Palmer and four great nephews, Nathan Palmer (Erin), Joshua Palmer, Michah Palmer and Elijah Palmer.

Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 2:45 PM at Valhalla Cemetery with Dr. Michael Brooks officiating.
