Mrs. Doris Geneva Williams Hamlett

On February 7, 2018 Mrs. Doris Geneva Hamlett was gloriously carried into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ; born June 16, 1938 to the late Arnold Odelle and Ruby Williams in Sylacauga, AL, she was one of nine children.

While attending "old" Anderson Memorial Church in Lipscomb, Doris gave her heart to Jesus Christ and became a dedicated follower of Christ, a beautiful example for everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Doris was the "Virtuous Woman" spoken of in Proverbs, a loving and faithful wife, mother, daughter and sister. An accomplished seamstress who loved flowers and gardening. Always gracious, kind and considerate; she was greatly loved by her family and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and her son, Roy Franklin "Frank" Hamlett, Jr.

Doris leaves to cherish her memories her husband of more than 59 years Roy Franklin Hamlett; one daughter, Rebecca Hamlett (Tony) Fisher; five grandchildren, Christopher Fisher, Erin Fisher  (J D ) Dillion, Angela Hamlett (William) Wallin, Kevin Hamlett and Dianne Hamlett; many great grandchildren, six siblings and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 12:45 pm in Valhalla Cemetery, 839 Wilkes Road, Midfield, AL.
