Dorothy "Lucy" Evelyn Case Lewis, 91, of Vestavia Hills, AL, died on Feb. 17, 2018. She is predeceased by her parents, Arthur Hamilton Case and Mary Ethel McDonald Case, husband Robert Adair Lewis, Jr., son Dr. Jerry K. Lewis and his wife Karen, and siblings Charles Clayton Case, Nell Case Morgan Lewis, Cecile Faye Case Harper, Mary Magdeline Case Payne, Arthur Hubert Case and John Edward Case.
She is survived by grandchildren Amanda, Tommy and Bart Lewis, and great grandchildren Marianna and Elizabeth Murray, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Lucy was a proud "Rosie the Riveter" and enjoyed editing stories for Rosie books. She loved going to New Merkel Senior Center where she had many friends.  Much gratitude to the staff at Affinity Hospice and to dear friends Maxine and Melanie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Merkel Senior Center, 4405 Dolly Ridge Rd, Vestavia, AL 35243. One hour visitation at 11 am Wednesday, Feb 21, 2018, at Valhalla Funeral Home, private burial to follow. Service by Rev. Gary Edge.
