Dorothy Johnson Maddox, age 92, of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014. She is survived by her two sons, Donald R. Maddox (Gail) of Pleasant Grove, AL and Douglas (Iris) Maddox of Quinton, AO, one daughter, Rebecca Maddox of Eastaboga, AL; two grandsons, Brian (Kristina) Maddox of Pleasant Grove AL and Paul (Amy) Maddox of Gardendale, AL; four great granddaughters, Sydney Maddox, Becca Maddox, Bayley Maddox, and Corra Maddox; one sister, Nena Graham of Pleasant Grove, AL and one brother, C. M. (Linda) Johnson of Chula Vista, CA; many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Maddox; her parents, Curtis and Clara Johnson; her sister, Doris (James Crowley and other loved ones.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, 5317 Bessemer Super Highway, Midfield, AL 35228 ,The visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12 noon . The funeral service will be held at 12 noon with David Courington officiating.
