Dorothy "Dot" Lathem Patton was born July 2,1928 in Bessemer, Alabama to Guy and Ora Lathem.

In 1947, she married the love of her life, James W. "Red" Patton.They were happily married for 73 years, until his death in 2020.

Dot passed away on October 25, 2020, at the age of 94 years old. Dot is survived by her 2 daughters, Dottie Slay(John) and Terri Riddle(James), her 4 grandchildren: Patton Slay (Lindsey), Phillip Slay, Cameron Riddle(Maggie), Drew Riddle(Olivia Hayes), and her great grandson,Jack Riddle.

She was a tough lady with a beautiful spirit. Her kind and loving soul was easily seen and felt by all, even in her last few days. She loved God and her family, and she will be truly missed. We celebrate now, as we know that she is free of pain and reunited with Red.

May she rest in Eternal Peace. We love you Dot.

A private viewing will be held at noon on Friday October 28,2022 with a graveside service to follow at 1P.M.
