Dorothy Faye Stewart, age 87, of Midfield Alabama, passed away Thursday December 15, 2016. Dorothy was born in Kennedy, Alabama. After caring for her children, she became an LPN. She cared for her patients with love and kindness for many years. Dorothy retired from what is now Legacy Health and Rehabilitation Pleasant Grove in 2004. She was a longtime member of the former First Baptist Church of Midfield, then upon its closing, became a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers, and her beloved husband of 58 years, James Lewis Stewart. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Burkhalter (Buck); children, Robert Stewart (Brenda), Allen Stewart, Judy Stewart (Richard Nicholas); grandchildren, Melissa Davis (Bart), Tammy Eanes (Ricky), Tim Stewart, Ryan Stewart; great-grandchildren, Jared Hyde, Casen Stewart, Katelyn Eanes, Kayla Eanes, Zoe Stewart; and beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
