Mrs. Dorothy Whiten Wilson, age 89, of the Fairfield Highlands, Midfield area, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 19, 2010. She was met in heaven by her parents; Edgar and Essie Whiten, along with five brothers and two sisters. She had been a lifelong member of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church. She was very active in the Church including serving as a Sunday School teacher and a YWA leader.
She leaves behind her husband of 68 years, Mr. Claud Wilson, two daughters, Linda Wilson (David E.) Holt, and Claudia Wilson (Joe) Loggins, along with one son , Jeffery (Wynema) Wilson. In addition, Mrs Wilson leaves eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Valhalla Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church.
