Salter, Drucilla G., age 94, of Bessemer, AL, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008. She was a Charter Member of West Highland Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at Valhalla Cemetery on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Buddy Majors officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Salter; her parents, John and Viola Gilbert; her brothers, Eugene, Leroy, Edsel and John Gilbert and her sister, Ila Mae Sewell. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Hubbard, Laura Chace and Jayne (Ted) Carson; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A memorial fund has been set up at West Highland Baptist Church, 4839 West Highland Church Road, Bessemer, AL 35023 (205) 426-4040 in the name of Drucilla Salter.
