Obituary
Mr. E. C. "Sonny" Fergason, age 88, of Rockmart, GA passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Polk Medical Center in Cedartown, GA.
He was born in Madison Station, AL on January 14, 1929 a son of the late Eff C. Fergason and Mamie Lee Bullard Fergason. Mr. Fergason had been a resident of Rockmart since 1975 following his retirement from the United States Air Force. He was a veteran of over thirty years in the Air Force and had served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Fergason was an indepent owner/operator for the Lance Cracker Company for a number of years. He was a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church, a classic car enthusiast and a regular of the Old Rascals Group at Bojangles. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Fergason and by seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Fergason, Rockmart; brother, Pierce Fergason, Orlando, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, March 25, 2017 from 6:00 pm EST until 7:30 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home in Rockmart, Georgia.
A service will be held at 7:30 EST pm Saturday in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home in Rockmart, Georgia with Rev. Don Spears officiating.
Graveside Service will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. CDST at Valhalla Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Valhalla Funeral Home will be directing.
