Eddie Joyce Percy was born to the late Arthur L. Williams and the late Leola Williams on July 3, 1950. She was a 1967 graduate of Brighton High School where she was the lead singer of her own group called "Joyce and the Explosive". After graduating she became a Licensed Practical Nurse at Lawson State Community College and practiced her skills for seventeen years.
At an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church Old Jonesboro under the leadership of Rev. W. C. Ward. She later joined New Bethlehem Baptist Church under of the leadership of William H. Walker. Later joined Friendship Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur L. and Leola Williams, Sr.; husband, Edward Lee Percy; grandson, D'Andre Paige; sisters, Autry Fletcher, Lillie Patterson and Sarah Ann Paige and brother, Arthur L. Williams, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories four loving children, Roosevelt Paige, Jr. of Bessemer, AL, Kelly Paige (Walter) Snowden of Birmingham, AL, Kevin Paige of Birmingham, AL and Akidda Percy (Darril) Kirkland of Birmingham, AL; seven grandchildren, Bianca Paige, Angel Percy, Angelo Percy, Lachontel Paige, Jaylon Ford, Chasten Paige and Makayla Paige; two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
