Edith Garrett Arnold, age 92 of Pleasant Grove passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Legacy Nursing Home in Pleasant Grove.

Ms. Arnold was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County and graduated from Oak Grove High School where she was the valedictorian of the class of 1943. She was an Avon Representative for ten years and retired from Goslin Manufacturing with twenty years of service. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Baptist Faith. She was the widow of Francis J. Arnold, Jr. (former Birmingham police officer) and was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart and Evie Garrett and a brother, Joseph Garrett.

Ms. Arnold is survived by two daughters, Ms Jeanne Arnold and Frances Orr; two grandchildren, Brittney Gray (Chase) and Layla Sims; two great grandchildren, Sophie Sims and Kieran Sims; niece, Donna Rouse; great nieces, Leslie Samson and Jennifer Jones (Jason); great great nephews, Garrett Jones and Gibson Jones and numerous cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of service at Valhalla Funeral Home.
