age 55, of Vestavia Hills, AL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior March 7, 2007. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence L. Pate of Birmingham, AL. She was precede in death by her father, Lawrence L. Pate and brother, Kenneth Wayne Pate. She is survived her mother, Edith V. Pate of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Virginia L. (Jim) Wilson, Debra Lynne (Brian) Moon; two brothers, Alvin L. "Bo" (Gail) Pate, R. Clayton (Mollie) Pate of Birmingham; and several nieces and nephews. A 1970 graduate of Jones Valley High School attended Bob Jones University, graduated in 1974 with BA degree. She taught at Pensacola Christian School for 11 years and received her Masters degree at Pensacola Christian College. She came to Birmingham, AL in 1985 and taught at Alliance Christian School for several years. She became Elementary Principal at Shades Mountain Christian School where she remained until her death. She was a member of Shades Mountain Independent Church. Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Shades Mountain Independent Church, with burial in Valhalla Cemetery.
